Amnesty Don Never Wanted A Wall - Part II

My prediction is that in three weeks, the group will recommend a few physical barriers (steel slats) and a whole lot of drones, sensors and other technology that can be easily switched off by the next Democrat or Bush-like Republican administration. Trump will pounce on the recommendations and tell his voters that they are an improvement over his original wall - after all, the experts have spoken! The Trump communication team will flood the airways and declare a great victory for the American people and praise the president for being a problem solver who brought Washington together. The Trump cultists will feel vindicated while the patriots will be searching for a new leader for the MAGA movement.

Everything I Hate Is White Supremacy

For quite sometime there has been a meme circulating social media stating “Everyone I Hate Is Hitler” . Quite amusing and quite accurate. What used to be a devastating attack on a political opponent, or a surefire way to shut down any debate, it is now a punchline. Since the potency of invoking Hitler’s name has waned, a new lexicon had to be deployed - thus the term “white supremacy” became ubiquitous. Any action, policy or political movement the Left doesn’t like is now labeled “white supremacy”. The latest example of “white supremacy” is inquiring about citizenship status in the upcoming 2020 census.

Another Caravan On Its Way To America

I am very skeptical of the strategy of relying on Mexico to stem the flow of migrants into the United States. It is also extremely frustrating. The lone superpower in the world cannot protect its borders and has to rely on a third world country known for its corruption and dysfunction. We spend trillions of dollars on the military but it cannot be used to secure our border.

Bannon: The GOP Was Not Prepared To Govern

Besides informing us that the GOP never had a plan to replace Obamacare, Steve Bannon joins the chorus advising the president to declare a national emergency and use the military to build the wall. Trump has no one to blame but himself for having fewer options now that the Democrats are in charge of the House. Building the wall should have been his number one priority. By waiting two years to push for the wall, Trump undermined his current argument that there is a crisis at the border. One does not wait two years to address a crisis or an emergency.

My Journey From Immigration Dove To Immigration Hawk

My attitude towards illegal immigration began to change three years ago when I read a story about a Dreamer who unfurled a Mexican flag at her graduation ceremony at the University of California – San Diego. The sheer stupidity and arrogance of the act stunned me. America was kind to let her stay, and had given her opportunities she would have never had if her family had stayed in Mexico -- and yet she chose to wave the flag of the country that gave her nothing. At the time, I was in contact with immigration reform activists who, to my dismay, cheered her self-defeating stunt. I warned them that such in-your-face tactics and a sense of entitlement was only going to backfire and turn Americans against the Dreamers. Their response was to hurl insults and hit the block button on Facebook.

How 4D Chess Killed MAGA

Sessions' refusal to appoint a second Special Counsel seems to have finally caused many MAGA fans to realize that he is not the right man to drain the swamp - or drain a clogged kitchen sink - but precious months have been wasted. Had Trump supporters backed the president as I did during the summer, the Mueller probe could have been shut down before announcing any indictments. Whatever controversy or political hit firing the Special Counsel would have surely generated would be a distance memory by now. Attorney General Scott Pruitt would have been well on his way of reforming the Justice Department as he did the EPA. The MAGA agenda would be alive and well.
